SUBMERSION, whether above or below, Julianne Steers delves to document all wild spaces. Employed much of her life as a marine biologist from educating pint-sized students when she was in her early teens to rehabilitating marine mammals in her twenties to her professional years designing and operating a state-of-the-art marine laboratory in the Eastern Pacific, her experience runs the gamut in the marine industry. Underwater surveyor, exhibit fabricator, cnidarian researcher, life support plumbing engineer, educator, and beyond.

Earning her undergraduate degree from The University of Arizona in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and diving credentials from NAUI/PADI/SSI further fueled Steers’ passion of the natural world.

After 3 decades actively exploring and researching the marine environment, Steers’ transitioned to a visual storyteller which pairs well with her continued marine conservation endeavors. Julianne brings a unique, highly specialized set of innovative tools to her projects.

Journeying to all 7 continents in search of wild spaces with an investigative and adventurous spirit.
